Fatal Head-On Collision in Kings County
The California Highway Patrol recently reported a fatal head-on collision in Kings County. The car crash occurred on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m. According to officials, the incident involved two vehicles at the intersection of Elder Avenue and 27th Avenue.

Authorities indicated in a preliminary release that a Honda van was headed eastbound while a Hyundai sedan was traveling westbound on Elder Avenue. For reasons not yet determined by officials, one of the cars reportedly crossed over the center line and was involved in a head-on collision with the other party.
The Hyundai allegedly caught fire due to the impact of the collision, CHP traffic officers said. Sadly, both motorists were declared deceased at the incident site. The cause of the head-on collision on Elder Avenue in 27th Avenue has remained under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
