Fatal Crash Kills Modesto Woman

I’m Ed Smith, a Modesto car accident attorney. A woman from Modesto was involved in a single vehicle accident during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 20, 2016. Sadly, the woman passed away at the scene due to the grave nature of her injuries.

What Happened?

A 23-year-old female motorist from Modesto was driving southbound along Codoni Avenue in the vicinity of Finch Road. For reasons that are not known, the motorist conducted an unsafe right turn in her 1999 Nissan and lost control of her vehicle. Due to the motorist losing control of her Nissan, she unfortunately crashed into a tree northwest of the City of Hughson. Due to the impact of the crash, the woman passed away at the scene.

What Caused the Accident?

According to the California Highway Patrol, the factors of drugs or alcohol playing a role in the crash have not been determined at this time. However, the woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was utilizing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The name of the female driver has not been released by authorities until her family is notified. The investigation is still underway by authorities and additional details about the accident have not been released at this time.
