Fatal Crash at County Road 99W and Road 10 in Yolo County
On the evening of Saturday, October 25, 2025, a tragic collision occurred with a fatal crash at County Road 99W and Road 10 in Yolo County between Zamora and Dunnigan, resulting in at least one fatality, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities reported that one of the vehicles overturned, trapping occupants inside as emergency responders arrived on the scene. Initial dispatch records indicated uncertainty about the involvement of additional vehicles, and investigators are still determining how the crash unfolded.

Both vehicles were later towed for examination as part of CHP’s ongoing effort to piece together the events leading to the deadly crash. Officials have not released the identities of those involved pending notification of next of kin.
Safety on Rural County Roads
Rural roadways like County Roads 99W and 10 can pose unique hazards, especially after dark. Limited lighting, higher speeds, and sharp turns increase the likelihood of severe accidents. Drivers are urged to stay alert, reduce speed when visibility is poor, and avoid distractions behind the wheel. Even familiar backroads can become dangerous when fatigue or reduced lighting affects reaction time. Maintaining seatbelt use and staying within posted limits are key to reducing fatal outcomes in collisions.

Why Having a Skilled Personal Injury Attorney Matters After a Serious Crash
Following a serious or fatal car accident, victims and their families often face overwhelming emotional and financial challenges. Insurance companies may appear helpful but often work to minimize payouts, even in devastating cases. That’s why hiring an experienced personal injury attorney who specializes in auto and wrongful death cases is so important. A skilled lawyer will investigate the crash, preserve critical evidence, communicate directly with insurers, and ensure victims—or surviving family members—receive full compensation for medical expenses, lost income, and emotional loss.
