Elverta Woman Tragically Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
I’m Ed Smith, an Elverta Hit and Run Injury Lawyer. A woman from Elverta died tragically as a result of a hit-and-run collision on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
Sadly, she was discovered in a ditch in the Elverta area. The area is located near Gibson Ranch.
What Happened?
Donna Zurfluh, 65, was out for her daily walk. She was headed east on the south side of Elverta Road. The collision occurred sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The unidentified driver’s car was also proceeding east when it struck Zurfluh.
The rate of speed of the car and the cause of the collision have not yet been determined.
Passer-by Discovered Zurfluh
Authorities indicated that officers received a phone call from a passer-by at around 6:30 a.m. Even though the call came in at that time, they think the crash could have happened several hours prior.
Officers said the area in which the victim was walking did not have sidewalks.
The driver who hit Zurfluh left the scene.
Investigators Need Help Finding the Hit-and-Run Driver
Investigators are seeking the public’s help in finding the person who caused this tragedy.
