Elk Grove Pregnant Woman Tragically Killed

Pregnant Elk Grove Woman Killed in Car Accident

A woman from Elk Grove passed away after being struck by a car in Marina, California. The accident occurred on Saturday, June 25, 2016.

What Happened?

According to authorities in Marina, California, Nicole Tomasello, 25, of Elk Grove, California was walking out of a Walmart store pushing a grocery cart when she was struck by a car.

The Walmart Store where the tragedy happened is located at 105 Beach Road in Marina, California. Tomasello had traveled to the Marina, California area for a visit. Marina is located near Monterey, California.

Pinned Beneath Vehicle

Nicole Tomasello was four months pregnant. The crash caused her to be pinned beneath the vehicle. Rescue personnel pulled her out and rushed her to a trauma hospital. Sadly, she died from the severe nature of her injuries. Her unborn child passed away also.

What Caused the Accident?

The cause of the accident is unknown. Marina detectives are still investigating to determine what caused the tragic accident.
