Elk Grove Police Arrest Drunk Driving Suspects

In two separate traffic stops on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, Elk Grove Police arrested two female suspects who reportedly had open alcohol containers in their automobiles.
In the first traffic stop, police reported that 31-year-old Sacramento resident, Ashwini Prakash was stopped yesterday afternoon at an Elk Grove Boulevard gas station. Upon speaking with Prakash officers allegedly discovered she had an open container of alcohol in her car.
She was asked to take a field sobriety test.  Upon failing, Prakash was placed under arrest and booked into the Sacramento County Jail. She has since been released on bail.
Also arrested last night was another female suspect, 48-year-old Lando Brooks. Brooks is a resident of Elk Grove.  Brooks failed a field sobriety test and was allegedly found in possession of two open alcoholic beverages in her vehicle. Brooks was placed under arrest, booked into the Sacramento County Jail.  She was later released on bail.
