Motorcycle Crash at Main Street Intersection Causes Major Injuries
A Downieville motorcycle crash northeast of Nevada City caused major trauma to the rider on September 17. The crash happened at State Route 49 and Main Street shortly after 2:00 p.m. The rider was found lying on the right-hand side of the roadway.
Injured Rider Hospitalized in Downieville Motorcycle Crash
When the fire department arrived at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), it was determined the rider had suffered major injuries. The rider was transported to a hospital for medical attention. The vehicle was moved out of the way by a good Samaritan. The CHP traffic unit is examining the accident scene to find out why the crash occurred.
