Double-Vehicle Accident in Corning Results in Serious Trauma
On Friday, February 26, 2021, one person was hospitalized as the result of a car crash in Corning. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials report that the collision happened in the morning shortly before sunrise and involved two vehicles. Whether or not any other individuals suffered injuries during the incident has not yet been reported, and the collision is still under CHP investigation.

The accident occurred on South Avenue close to the Marguerite Avenue intersection at 5:43 a.m. CHP stated that, shortly before the accident, witnesses called in to report a pickup truck driving recklessly in the area. According to police, the pickup truck collided head-on with a second vehicle. Further information about the circumstances of this crash hasn’t been reported at this time. Officers stated that the vehicles came to a rest blocking both sides of South Avenue.
When they arrived at the site of the crash, officers found that at least one person was injured and called for an ambulance. Medical officials determined that one person was seriously hurt, and they were driven to the Enloe Medical Center in Chico to be given immediate medical treatment.
