Deadly Davis Crash
I’m Ed Smith, a Davis Auto Accident Attorney. Investigators re-opened Second Street in Davis last night around midnight after a tragic crash. Sadly, one person died at the scene of this deadly Davis crash. Others had to be taken to a local emergency room.
What Happened?
A fatal two-car crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. on February 24, 2016. According to Davis Police Department, a red Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) was headed west on Second Street in Davis. The SUV broadsided a car turning east onto Second Street from Cantrill Drive.
How Many People Were Injured?
Multiple occupants in the SUV had to be transported to the hospital due to their injuries. There was only one occupant in the second vehicle. That was the driver who passed away after being hit by the SUV.
What Caused This Tragedy?
Police stated that the driver of the red SUV was travelling at a high rate of speed. Just prior to impact, the driver may have also been driving erratically. A scene investigation and traffic collision report may provide additional information.
