Critical Injuries in Oxnard Three-Vehicle Crash

I’m Ed Smith, an Oxnard car accident lawyer. A three-vehicle collision at El Rio resulted in injuries to two persons. No information has been released as to the cause of the crash while Oxnard police investigate the incident. We want to extend our sympathy to those injured in the accident. It is our fervent wish that they recover completely and quickly from this ordeal.

What Happened

The crash happened in El Rio at the Central Avenue and North Rose Avenue intersection shortly after 10:00 a.m. Of the four individuals in the accident, two were uninjured by the crash. According to a representative of the Ventura County Fire Department, the remaining two had to be removed from their vehicles by emergency responders. Two of the persons involved received minor injuries from the crash, while a third received injuries that were considered moderate. The fourth victim of the crash is reported to have been critically injured. Two of the four injury victims were transported to a hospital for treatment, and no further information is available on their condition. Investigators trying to figure out the cause of the crash stayed at the scene for at least an hour following the accident.

Multiple-Vehicle Accidents

Drivers must use a duty of care when on the roadways to help avoid accidents. This includes obeying traffic laws and keeping a safe distance between vehicles. The driver handbook of the California Department of Motor Vehicles states that a vehicle traveling at 35 mph requires 210 feet to respond to an emergency and stop the vehicle. Further, a driver must stay alert to clues ahead such as a driver signalling a turn or brake lights going on.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

No one wants to be in a collision, but unfortunately, that is a part of life. While some injuries suffered in a crash are minor and it is easier to get back into the daily routine, others can be life altering. Serious injuries can leave an injured person’s life drastically changed, affecting the individual’s ability to do a job and earn a living. In addition, medical bills and other out of pocket expenses mount up.

Accident Injuries

Some of the more serious injuries suffered in motor vehicle accidents include traumatic brain injuries, vertebral fractures, burns, injuries to soft tissues and amputations. When your life has changed due to another’s negligence, that’s when you need a personal injury lawyer with experience who will fight for your rights.
