Click it or Ticket Campaign

Click It or Ticket Campaign

I’m Ed Smith, a Fairfield auto accident attorney. A “Coast to Coast” seat belt enforcement project seeks to improve Click It or Ticket participation in Fairfield and throughout the nation.

When Will the Campaign Begin?

It already started! It kicked off on May 23rd and will continue to June 5, 2016.

Local law enforcement agencies in Fairfield and around the nation will take part in the 2016 Click It or Ticket campaign.

Just In Time for Memorial Day Weekend

The education enforcement project comes just in time for the Memorial Day holiday.

This particular holiday is one of the most traveled weekends of the year.

It takes just two seconds to buckle up. Two seconds — that’s it! And those two seconds could genuinely save your life.

Big Brother Watching!

Law enforcement agencies all over California will be peering in your vehicles to see whether or not you’re buckled up.

They will also be looking in the back seat of your vehicles as well.

Enforcement will be conducted during the day and throughout the night.

What Year Did Click It or Ticket Campaign Begin?

“Click It or Ticket” first debuted in 2005. Studies show over 1.5 million more vehicle occupants have started buckling up.

The program started in the Golden State (California) and spread to other states.

What Will an Adult Seat Belt Ticket Run Me?

The minimum price of a ticket for seat belt violations in California begin at $162 and go up.

What Will a Minor’s Seat Belt Ticket Cost Me?

The cost is a minimum of $465 for not properly restraining a minor child under the age of 16.

If the parent is not in the car, the driver of vehicle pays the ticket.
