Child Seriously Hurt During Rural Napa Car Accident

On Sunday, April 19, 2020, a rural Napa car accident left two people, including a 12-year-old child, with injuries. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the young boy suffered major injuries while a 40-year-old man was left with non-severe trauma. Both individuals were hospitalized following the collision. The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time.

Crash Information

The collision happened on Highway 121 to the north of Wooden Valley Road just before 8:00 p.m. A 40-year-old man from Fairfield was driving a pickup truck on the highway with the boy as his passenger. While CHP indicated that the pickup truck sustained major damage to its passenger side, further details about the circumstances of this accident remain unavailable.

According to reports, the two vehicle occupants were able to extricate themselves from the vehicle before traveling to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

Investigation

As a team of CHP investigators continues to look into possible factors involved in the accident, no likely causes have been reported. Commonly, single-vehicle accidents like this happen due to more than one cause and frequently involve one or more factors drivers can’t control. In these cases, parties other than involved drivers may be considered partially or fully responsible for the collision.

Another Recent Napa Collision

This crash happened not long after another serious collision in rural Napa. The other crash occurred on Friday, April 3, 2020, and left a man from the city of Paso Robles with fatal injuries. Police reported that the man had been a passenger in a vehicle that rolled off of a private driveway and eventually landed partially submerged in a pond. Police have indicated that alcohol appears to have been a factor in the accident.

Calling an Attorney

After you or somebody you care about is hurt in a car accident, it’s very important to take a moment to get advice from a Napa personal injury lawyer. Vehicle accident injuries can be serious and often have a huge personal and financial impact on peoples’ lives. In order to make sure that you or your loved one is able to fully recover from their injuries, it’s possible to hold negligent parties and insurance companies responsible for damages.

The payments available through personal injury claims can cover a wide variety of damages. These damages can be divided into economic and personal losses. Economic losses typically include medical expenses as well as property damaged, lost income, and other things that come with an easily determined dollar amount. Personal damages seek to provide crash survivors with compensation for things like loss of quality of life that are more difficult to put a price on.

One of the reasons that it’s important to have personal advice from an injury attorney is because these damages can vary widely from case to case and knowing what you deserve to be paid is a valuable tool in moving forward with claiming compensation.
