Cement Truck Fire on Highway 50 in Folsom Area Causes Lane Closures
A cement truck fire on Highway 50 in Folsom on Tuesday morning, June 2, 2026, temporarily shut down multiple lanes of the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Truck Engulfed in Flames on Eastbound Highway 50
The incident occurred on eastbound Highway 50 just east of East Bidwell Street. Video from the scene showed the cab of the cement truck fully engulfed in flames as emergency crews responded to contain the fire.
CHP traffic logs indicate the fire was first reported at approximately 7:25 a.m.
Multiple Lanes Closed During Emergency Response
Authorities closed the No. 3 and No. 4 eastbound lanes while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and secure the scene. Traffic delays were reported in the area as crews managed the emergency response and cleared the roadway.
