What happened?
Tamara Rosa was driving along Walnut Avenue (near Marconi) in Carmichael. Suddenly, she heard a loud popping noise. Her son thought the sound originated from a shotgun or something similar. The boys in the SUV started screaming. They were all very scared. Rosa said she looked through her rear view mirror and saw her back window crumbling. She was located less than a mile from her residence. She immediately pulled over and called police.
Was anyone hurt?
Thankfully, Rosa and the children she was transporting were not injured. They were all frightened at what could have been.
Did the police come to the scene?
Yes. A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer came to the accident scene. The officer searched Rosa’s motor vehicle but found no pellet or bullet inside. The CHP indicated they don’t know what caused such a frightening and sudden scare.
