Car Kills Sacramento Pedestrian
A woman was walking northbound on Walerga Road at approximately 4:45 am. A vehicle was approaching the woman from the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the intersection at Elkhorn Boulevard and Walerga Road. The driver of the vehicle could not stop in time and struck the woman. The woman was struck by a Chevy Trailblazer. According to officers from the California Highway Patrol, the Trailblazer had the right of way and the pedestrian may have been walking against a red light.
