Officials say the crash occurred just before 12 p.m. on East Bidwell Street near Jersey Mike’s Subs and Papa Murphy’s. A white-colored sedan driven by a woman who exited the parking lot, jumped the curb, hit an empty patio table, and crashed into Papa Murphy’s glass storefront. No one was on the patio.

Folsom Fire arrived within minutes of the 11:37 a.m. call, evacuating both restaurants as a precaution and checking for structural damage. Folsom Police secured the scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

The impact caused extensive property damage, shattering glass and leaving debris scattered across the sidewalk and parking lot. While Jersey Mike’s was not directly struck, the building sustained secondary damage and was cleared out until crews could confirm it was safe. Both businesses remain temporarily closed pending cleanup and repairs.
