Manteca Major Injury Accident
A car accident along North Main Street in Manteca left one driver with major injuries on November 14, 2018. The accident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. along the 700 block of North Main Street. A vehicle exiting the Burger King parking lot along the eastern side of North Main Street was struck by a speeding Honda Civic driven by a 22-year-old man. The impact of the collision propelled the Honda across the roadway and caused the vehicle to collide with a pole. The engine of the Honda was ejected upon impact and landed approximately 100 feet away from the scene near the intersection of North Main Street and West Edison Avenue. Emergency personnel responding to the accident transported the Honda driver to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. An update regarding the conditions of the two drivers involved has not yet been released by officials.

Conversely, 40 percent of rollover accidents are attributed to speeding.
