Car Accident Involving Delivery Van in Modesto
A car accident involving a delivery van in Modesto left at least one party injured on April 28, 2020. The car crash occurred on Detroit Lane and Pelandale Avenue around 4:20 p.m., according to a traffic accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). A delivery van was involved in a collision with a black Honda, and both were described as having moderate front-end damage. One of the vehicles collided with a fire hydrant, the CHP said. Crews from the City of Modesto Water Services Division were called to the scene to turn off the water and repair the damaged fire hydrant. An American Medical Response ambulance was also requested to transport at least one person to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Further details, including the cause of the incident and updates regarding the conditions of those injured, were not immediately available.
