Four Injured in Freeway Crash

On Thursday, September 24, 2015, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a car on the Capital City Freeway at El Camino Avenue struck an on-ramp metering light. Three of the four occupants in the car were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by the fire department. He suffered significant injuries as a result of the crash.

The California Highway Patrol reported the northbound freeway off-ramp at El Camino was closed to traffic while emergency personnel worked to clear the accident scene.

Rights of Passengers in Auto Accidents

Passengers riding in a car with a driver who acted negligently and caused the crash may recover from the driver’s liability policy of insurance.   Injured passengers may claim against their own Underinsured Motorist insurance if the vehicle driver they were traveling with lacks insurance coverage. Please call the Sacramento Edward A Smith Law Offices to learn more about this.
