Three Lanes of U.S. 101 Closed Due to Brisbane Major Injury Accident

A Brisbane major injury accident occurred on April 24 on the Bayshore Freeway involving multiple vehicles. The collision happened around 1:00 p.m. on the northbound side of U.S.101 just north of the Candlestick Park off-ramp. Medics were quickly called to the scene by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) after receiving a report of major injuries.

Investigation by the CHP Will Determine Fault in Brisbane Major Injury Accident

The accident, which involved a bus, a black sedan, and another vehicle, led to the closure of three lanes. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles, one of which was severely damaged at the front. The CHP’s traffic collision unit is currently investigating the cause of the accident. The lanes were reopened shortly after 2:00 p.m.

Recovering Compensation After a Multiple-Vehicle Crash

In the event of a Brisbane major injury accident involving multiple vehicles, identifying the liable drivers becomes crucial. Common reasons for these collisions include speeding, tailgating, and distracted driving. Your injury lawyer will actively investigate the accident to pinpoint the at-fault parties, ensuring that everyone who was negligent is held accountable.

Compiling Evidence to Support Your Injury Claim

After establishing liability, your attorney will employ an investigator to collect crucial evidence for your claim. It’s imperative to photograph the accident scene and the damaged vehicles to document their condition and where the damage occurred because this can help prove how the collision happened. This process also involves reviewing the police report, conducting witness interviews, seeking out surveillance footage, and undertaking accident reconstruction among other investigative strategies.

Preparing the Case

With the evidence in hand from the Brisbane major injury accident, our injury lawyers will craft a robust case to underpin your claim. This includes engaging in negotiations with the insurance company of the at-fault party to secure a settlement. Since about 95 percent of all injury claims are settled in this manner, it’s often the primary course of action. However, should negotiations fail, our lawyers are prepared to leverage the gathered evidence to argue your case in civil court.

What You Can Recover After Filing a Personal Injury Claim

You can recover compensation in several general categories, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering, as follows:

  • You can recover medical expenses resulting from your accident injury, from the ambulance fee to hospitalization, physician’s bills, tests, surgeries, treatments, and rehabilitation.
  • You can also reclaim wages lost because you could not work, including any job benefits, such as pension and insurance benefits, bonuses, and tips.
  • Compensation for pain and suffering covers the physical and emotional trauma your accident caused.
