Arden Arcade Apartment Fire

Two Hurt in Apartment Fire

Sacramento Metro Fire reported two people were hurt during a fire on Memorial Day at an Arden-Arcade apartment complex.

What Happened?

People living at the apartment complex reportedly heard an explosion just prior to the fire starting. Next came the sound of glass breaking and the sight of residents running for their lives.

Where Was Fire Located?

The fire happened in a lower unit of the Northwood Apartments located in the 2100 block of Howe Avenue, close to Cottage Way.

Was Anyone Hurt in the Arden Arcade Apartment Fire?

One person was rushed to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation. Another person had minor injuries and was treated at the scene by rescue workers.

The fire was contained around 6:30 p.m.

What Type of Damage to the Apartment Complex?

The complex has major fire and smoke damage. Eight apartment units were affected by the flames.

Thirteen people were unable to return to their apartment Monday evening.

Thankfully, no one lost their life in this densely populated apartment complex.

Red Cross stepped in to provide everyday necessities and temporary housing for the displaced residents.

Investigators, including members of the arson team, are trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
