Antioch Event Calendar for October 2017

The city of Antioch is filled with community events during the spooky month of October, ensuring that no one will ever be sitting alone at home twiddling their thumbs. Come on out and make the most of our last couple weeks of October! Below is a comprehensive list of family friendly events for the residents of Antioch.

Food Truck Thursday’s

  • Location: 4702 Lone Tree Way, Antioch CA 94531
  • Date: Thursday, October 19th, 2017
  • Time: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Admission: Free

Since June, the city of Antioch has hosted the weekly Foodie Crew’s Food Truck Thursday’s. This event is sponsored by the city of Antioch Recreation Department and hosted by The Foodie Crew. There are approximately seven trucks at the events, with food trucks, a dessert truck, and one truck that specializes in alcoholic beverages. In addition, there will be music and two Jumbo Jenga games for entertainment. This month is the last chance to stop by for some delicious food and free entertainment, so don’t miss your chance!

Pretty in Pink – Sip and Paint

  • Location: 324 G Street, Antioch, CA 94509
  • Date: Saturday, October 21st, 2017
  • Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Admission: $30 tickets

Come over and let your creative juices flow while raising money for the fight against breast cancer! This event is one part of a series held by Pretty in Pink Breast Cancer Awareness, and will be held at the Supreme Photography Studio. For only two hours of your time, you can find your artistic expression while supporting for a cause that everyone believes in – the best of both worlds!

Jack O’lantern Carving Event

  • Location: 113 G Street, Antioch, CA 94509
  • Date: Wednesday, October 25th, 2017
  • Time: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Admission: Free

This event is organized by the Bay Area Community Resources ReSET/HEART Program, a project that focuses on providing a variety of youth services with an emphasis on transformative youth development and violence prevention. So if you have yet to cross making a Jack O’lantern off your October bucket list, stop by and enjoy the Halloween celebration! Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided, although supplies are limited. Participants are encouraged to bring any stencils and/or stickers. Food will be available for purchase. Registration is required and can be done online.

Halloween Boo Bash Dinner Dash

  • Location: 2376 Buchanan Road, Antioch, CA 94509
  • Date: Saturday, October 28th, 2017
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • Admission: Free

Held at Revy Revs Soul Food Connection, this Halloween dinner dance is a fundraiser-based event to support the Temple Toy Chest Project. In December 2016, the charity was able to give back to more than 200 families by providing them with food, clothing, and toys. This year, we hope to raise awareness and help even more families. So come by and have a spooky good time!
