Ambulance and Car Collision

I’m Ed Smith, a Modesto personal injury attorney. An ambulance was involved in a collision with a sedan in Modesto during the afternoon hours of Sunday, March 19, 2017. Sadly, the collision caused several people to suffer serious injuries.

What Happened?

An ambulance was transporting a patient from Merced County to the Memorial Medical Center at about 2:00 pm. As the ambulance was traveling eastbound along Briggsmore Avenue with its lights and sirens activated, the driver turned left onto Coffee Road. A motorist driving a sedan was moving westbound along Briggsmore Avenue. As they proceeded into the intersection on a green light, they collided with the ambulance.

The collision caused several people to suffer traumatic injuries. The injured victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

What Caused the Collision?

The cause of the collision has not yet been released by authorities. It typically takes seven to ten days for a Traffic Collision Report to be processed.
