Accidents October 29
STOCKTON, CA — Authorities have shared the heartbreaking news that a 5-year-old Stockton boy has passed away following a collision that occurred earlier this month.
According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, the crash took place around 12:30 a.m. on October 21 at Pacific Avenue and Northbank Court. Investigators say one sedan struck another from the side, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
The young boy had been traveling with a 42-year-old woman when the crash occurred; a 25-year-old man was driving the second vehicle, according to police.
The child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, while the two adults received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
Both drivers stayed at the site of the accident and are fully cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues.
This tragic event shows how dramatically things can change in an instant. Our hearts are broken for this young child and his loved ones.
