STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA — A serious crash that involved an overturned big rig occurred on I-5 in Stanislaus County, according to the California Highway Patrol (CPH).

The collision happened on southbound I-5, just south of the Westley Rest Area, CHP officials said.

Authorities reported that the crash resulted in major injuries, though specific details about those injuries have not yet been released.

While all lanes of traffic have reopened, CHP said crews continue to work in the center median as the response and cleanup efforts remain underway.

MODESTO, CA – The Modesto Police Department is investigating a rollover crash that left one person injured Thursday afternoon.

The collision occurred at 2:52 p.m. on June 4 at the intersection of 17th and I streets. Fire Department crews responded to the scene and worked to extricate the driver from the overturned vehicle. The driver was transported to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Tragically, a dog that was inside the vehicle did not survive the crash.

A wheelchair was seen next to the overturned car, but according to MPD spokesperson Herman Sahota, investigators believe it came from inside the vehicle.

Police said no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not yet been released, and the investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

MODESTO, CA – Eight people were injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Modesto, according to the Modesto Fire Department.

Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 6.

Upon arrival, responders learned that the vehicle had been carrying two adults and six passengers ranging in age from 5 to 19 years old. Initial reports indicated the occupants were trapped inside the vehicle.

Fortunately, fire officials said all eight individuals were able to exit the vehicle, either on their own or with assistance from bystanders who stopped to help.

All eight occupants were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Authorities said the injuries were considered minor to moderate.
