RIPON, CA — A car accident was reported in Ripon Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Around 9:23 a.m., CHP officers responded to the scene on northbound Highway 99, just north of the Jack Tone Road on-ramp.

While the explanation for the crash is still unknown, there were two vehicles involved, and accounts of possible minor injuries. LOS BANOS, CA — A pickup truck crashed into the ground level of a hotel in Los Banos Monday evening, according to the Los Banos Fire Department.

The incident took place at the intersection of Pacheco Boulevard and J Street, where emergency crews quickly responded to reports of a vehicle colliding with a building.

When firefighters arrived, they found a Ford pickup truck lodged into the ground floor of the hotel. Fortunately, officials said the driver was evaluated at the scene and did not suffer serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported, and there was no need for evacuations at the time.

However, the hotel did sustain significant structural damage. Fire officials shared that extensive repairs will be needed before the affected area can safely reopen.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and it’s not yet known whether substances or mechanical failure were involved.

The driver’s identity has not been released, and as of Tuesday, no charges or citations have been issued. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted as the community begins to assess and repair the damage. We’re grateful no one was seriously injured in the incident.
