Clovis Man Killed in Los Banos Pedestrian Accident
Officials are investigating a pedestrian accident that killed a Clovis man in Los Banos on Sunday, July 11, 2021. At approximately 11:00 p.m., officers from the Los Banos Police Department (Los Banos PD) responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at Badger Flat Road and West Pacheco Boulevard.
Details on the Pedestrian Accident in Los Banos That Claimed the Life of a Clovis Man
Upon arrival, Los Banos PD officers found a pedestrian unresponsive and not breathing. First responders performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian, a 44-year-old Clovis man. Sadly, he was declared deceased at the scene.
A preliminary investigation suggested that the man was crossing north on West Pacheco Boulevard. It was believed he was headed toward a truck with a trailer that was parked along the road.
Officials said he was hit by a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 19-year-old Los Banos man. The Chevrolet driver has been reported as cooperative with officials. It is unknown whether visibility or speed played a role in the fatal pedestrian accident in which has remained under investigation.
