Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
Investigators may examine roadway evidence, witness statements, vehicle damage, surveillance footage, traffic conditions, and other available information to determine how the crash occurred.
Pedestrian Safety at Busy Intersections
Pedestrians are especially vulnerable when crossing busy roadways and intersections. Drivers should remain attentive, reduce their speed when approaching crosswalks, and carefully watch for pedestrians before turning or proceeding through an intersection.
Motorists should use additional caution during evening hours when changing light conditions can make pedestrians more difficult to see. Pedestrians should use designated crossings when available and remain alert to approaching and turning vehicles.
