One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 80 at Alamo Drive Off-Ramp
One person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 at Alamo Drive off-ramp early Thursday morning, July 30, 2026, along eastbound I-80 at the Alamo Drive off-ramp in Vacaville, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch records.
Four Vehicles Involved in Early Morning Collision
The crash was reported at approximately 4:05 a.m. and involved a blue Toyota Tacoma, a tan Toyota Camry, a Honda Accord, and a big rig.
Initial dispatch information indicated that an occupant inside the Toyota Tacoma became trapped following the collision, prompting emergency responders to assist with the rescue.
Roadway Temporarily Closed
As crews worked at the scene, all eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 were temporarily stopped to allow emergency personnel to safely assist those involved and clear the wreckage.
Dispatch records indicated the No. 5 lane and the Alamo Drive off-ramp remained blocked by the disabled Toyota Tacoma and the big rig. By approximately 4:29 a.m., the mainline lanes had reopened, although the off-ramp remained closed while cleanup operations continued.
Authorities reported one person was injured, but the extent of those injuries has not been released.
Investigation Ongoing
The identities of those involved have not been made public.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation as officials continue gathering information.
Staying Safe Around Disabled Vehicles on Freeways
Traffic incidents involving multiple vehicles can quickly create dangerous conditions for approaching motorists. Drivers should reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, remain alert for stopped traffic, and move over whenever possible when approaching emergency responders or disabled vehicles.
