A motorcyclist killed in Vallejo early Tuesday morning crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

Brief Pursuit Ends Before Fatal Crash

At approximately 4:21 a.m., an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop after observing a motorcyclist. According to police, the rider failed to yield and accelerated away, prompting a vehicle pursuit.

The pursuit was terminated about one minute later because of the motorcycle’s excessive speed and the increasing distance from the patrol vehicle.

Rider Found Trapped Beneath Parked Vehicle

At approximately 4:25 a.m.—just three minutes after an initial report—the Vallejo Police Department Communications Division dispatched officers to a traffic collision on Sacramento Street.

Upon arrival, responding officers discovered that a motorcycle had struck a parked vehicle. The rider was trapped underneath the vehicle and was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Solano County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau is currently withholding the victim’s identity until the next of kin can be formally notified.

Investigation Continues

The fatal collision remains under investigation.

According to the Vallejo Police Department, the incident marks the eighth fatal traffic collision investigated by the department in 2026, resulting in eight traffic-related fatalities so far this year.
