A person was killed in a fatal crash on Highway 113 in Woodland on Tuesday morning, April 29, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Crash Details and Sequence of Events
Authorities reported that just before 9:30 a.m., a northbound driver attempted to overtake another vehicle by traveling through the center median. During the maneuver, the driver lost control, crossed into the southbound lanes, and the vehicle flipped before crashing down a steep embankment.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, CHP said. Officials noted the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. A passenger inside the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
