An Oakland multiple-vehicle collision on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge early Saturday morning left eight people injured, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on November 1 in the eastbound lanes of the bridge, east of Treasure Island.

CHP officials reported that one person sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland. The San Francisco Fire Department said four others were hospitalized with moderate injuries, while three additional people declined transport after being evaluated at the scene.
