An investigation is underway into a fatal pedestrian accident on El Camino Avenue after a man was fatally struck by a vehicle in North Sacramento late Monday morning, September 8, 2025.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the collision occurred just after 11:30 a.m. near El Camino Avenue and Van Ness Street. Officers arriving on scene found that a man had been hit by a vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital by first responders but later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name. Police confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. El Camino Avenue was closed between Taft and Van Ness streets during the investigation but has since reopened.
