Two-Vehicle Crash on I-80 Near Madison Ave Causes Injuries and Traffic Delays

A two-vehicle crash on I-80 near Madison Ave on Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025, caused injuries and significant lane closures on westbound Interstate 80 near the Madison Avenue off-ramp. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatch records, the crash occurred at approximately 8:08 a.m. and involved a black Mazda and a gray Honda.

Responders from CHP and the Freeway Service Patrol arrived quickly and confirmed that lanes 4 and 5 were blocked due to the accident. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, where at least one individual required treatment for injuries. The full extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Traffic in the area was severely impacted during the morning commute, with delays as first responders worked to assist those involved and clear the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by CHP authorities.
