Cyclist Injured at Watt Avenue and Palomino Lane Alley in North Highlands Collision

A woman cyclist injured at Watt Avenue and Palomino Land Alley on Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle in North Highlands. The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Palomino Lane Alley, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Preliminary reports indicate that the cyclist was traveling through the intersection when she was hit by a car under circumstances that are still under investigation. Emergency responders arrived quickly, rendered aid at the scene, and transported the woman to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of her injuries has not yet been made public.

Watt Avenue is a major north-south corridor through North Highlands and sees a high volume of daily traffic. Officers secured the area following the crash to allow paramedics to work and to begin an investigation into what led to the incident.
