Minor Injured in Vallejo Bicycle Accident on Louisiana Street 

A recent Vallejo bicycle accident near a popular park has raised significant safety concerns among local residents. The accident occurred when the minor was in a crosswalk on Louisiana Street and was struck by a BMW  on Sacramento Street around 12:30 p.m. The minor lost consciousness and suffered head trauma as a result of the collision.

Driver Remains at Scene of Accident

He was transported by medics to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.  Surveillance footage captured the unsettling moment when the BMW driver skidded to a stop and collided with a bicycle after the child had already been thrown from the contact with the vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and awaited law enforcement’s arrival.

According to a spokesman for the Vallejo Police Department, the incident is being treated as an accident, though charges may still be considered pending further investigation. The intersection where the accident occurred is a four-way stop with no traffic lights, intensifying calls for improved safety measures in the area.
