Driver Trapped in Two-Vehicle Collision on Power Inn Road in South Sacramento

A two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025, caused injuries and traffic disruptions on northbound Power Inn Road, just south of Florin Road. The collision on Power Inn Road in South Sacramento occurred at approximately 7:35 a.m. and involved a silver Honda hatchback and a white Hyundai sedan. According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the vehicles came to rest in the No. 1 lane, while the other stopped along the right-hand shoulder.

Emergency responders were dispatched after reports indicated that at least one individual was trapped inside a vehicle, prompting urgent medical attention and extrication efforts from Sacramento Fire Department personnel.

Paramedics treated the injured at the scene while coordinating with CHP officers to assess the situation. Due to the extent of the damage, one of the vehicles remained immobile in the traffic lane, resulting in temporary closures and delays for morning commuters.

Tow trucks were called to remove both vehicles from the roadway. By 7:51 a.m., crews had successfully reopened the No. 3 lane, though the No. 1 lane remained blocked for an extended period.
An active investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. No further details have been released regarding the identities or conditions of those involved.
