MODESTO, CA – A 22-year-old man from Modesto died in an ATV crash Wednesday evening on American Avenue, just north of the city limits.

Emergency crews responded to the 6000 block of American Avenue around 8:40 p.m. after reports that the man had fallen off the ATV and was unresponsive. According to the Modesto Fire Department, responders arrived to find the man with critical injuries. Paramedics provided emergency care, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
