Brentwood’s 8th Annual Delta Harvest Run

Celebrate the approaching fall season bounty with the 8th annual Delta Harvest Run in Brentwood, California. The event will take place in the morning on Sunday, September 8. This all-inclusive family event will have multiple courses to ensure that everyone interested in participating can find a run that matches their own pace. People of all experience levels are invited to join, as there will be a 1-mile Fun Run, 5K, 10K, and a Half Marathon.

What to Know About This Year’s Delta Harvest Run

With four courses in total, each course is fast and flat. The courses also include picturesque views of park and farmland. All event festivities, as well as the start lines and finish lines, will be located at the Brentwood Community Center on 35 Oak Street. Event organizers, the Delta REALTORS® Community Service Foundation, are donating event proceeds to benefit East Contra Costa shelters, food banks and pantries, and college scholarship funds for local high school students.

On the day of the event, registered participants will be given a runner goodie bag, a celebratory custom T-shirt, post-race drinks and refreshments, and a run completion medal. Additionally, all participants in the 1-mile family fun run will get a wristband. Specialized medals are going to be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers of the 5K, 10K, and half marathon competitions.

Registration and check-in for the race will kick off at 6 a.m., and the four courses will begin at separate times. The half marathon is going to start at 7 a.m., trailing behind is the 10K at 7:45 a.m., and the 5K at 8 a.m. Finally, the family fun run will be the last to start at 9 a.m.
