Driver Backs Into Home on Zachis Way, Killing a Resident Inside
A vehicle crash into an Antelope home on August 31 killed a person inside the building. The accident occurred at the Zachis Way intersection with Hidden Meadow Way around 9:45 a.m. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has recently identified the decedent as Kenneth Arthur Beaty, 57, of Antelope.

The CHP reported that the driver of a Ford Expedition apparently had their car in reverse when they lost control and struck the home. The vehicle in question also exhibited serious damage to its front, and authorities don’t know when or how that happened. The area speed limit is 25 mph, and a spokesperson for the CHP said they were examining the vehicle itself to see if it would give them any insight into the cause of the accident.
