Tragic Motorcycle Crash Near Elk Grove

What Happened?
On Wednesday afternoon a traffic collision occurred between the driver of a car and a rider on a motorcycle near Elder Creek Road in the south area of Sacramento. The location of the accident was midway between Elk Grove and Sacramento.
A little after 2:00 p.m. emergency personnel arrived at the scene of a terrible crash on Logan Street, near Elder Creek Road.
What Type of Injuries Occurred?
Sadly, the motorcyclist lost his life tragically in the collision.
The condition of the driver who collided with the motorcyclist is unknown.
Collision Area Required Prompt Road Closures
Authorities quickly shut down the location of Elder Creek Road between Soomis Way and 75th Street. Investigators combed over the accident scene for several hours before reopening the area to the public.
What Caused the Collision?
No information has been released as to the cause of the deadly crash. The collision is being investigated by Sacramento Police Department.
It usually takes investigators one to two weeks to prepare a traffic collision report. It often takes longer when serious injuries or fatalities are involved.
