Scooter Rider Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run on Davis Street and Alamo Way in Vacaville

A 57-year-old scooter rider hospitalized after hit-and-run on Davis Street and Alamo Way in Vacaville is recovering following an early morning hit-and-run on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in which local police report he was hit by a car and dragged.

Scooter Rider Struck Near Davis Street and Alamo Way

According to authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Davis Street and Alamo Way.

Police said the man was riding his scooter southbound when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.

According to his brother, the victim recalled suddenly finding himself on the hood of the vehicle before falling back onto the roadway. The vehicle reportedly slowed down after the collision but did not stop.

Driver Flees the Scene

Vacaville police officers and fire crews responded to the scene and found the injured man lying in the roadway next to his scooter.

Investigators said the driver fled the area, traveling southbound on Alamo Drive.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he underwent immediate surgery for a broken foot. Doctors were also evaluating whether surgery would be necessary to treat injuries to his wrist.

Investigation Remains Ongoing

The Vacaville Police Department stated that the investigation remains active and that officers are committed to identifying the driver and vehicle involved in the collision.

Authorities have not released any information regarding the suspect or the vehicle involved.
