Injuries Occur in Roseville Boulevard Single-Vehicle Traffic Accident

An SUV traffic accident occurred in Sacramento on September 13 after the vehicle exited the road and went into a ditch for unknown reasons. The crash occurred just before 9:00 p.m. on eastbound Roseville Boulevard at Diablo Drive, according to the accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). It was reported that the SUV crossed over all the westbound lanes and went off the roadway on the eastbound side.

SUV Traffic Accident Being Investigated

Emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department arrived to assess injuries in the SUV accident. Although no injury report was issued at the time of the crash, they transported at least one person to Mercy San Juan Medical Center. The cause of this Sacramento car wreck is being investigated by the CHP for that region.

Why Drivers Lose Control of Their Vehicle

There are a number of ways a traffic accident can occur where the driver loses control of their vehicle. Driver errors such as speeding, distracted driving, and others can result in this type of single-vehicle accident. However, other influences may also result in a traffic accident. After an accident where injuries or fatalities occur, it is important to retain the vehicle, so it can be examined for possible evidence in a compensation claim. An experienced injury lawyer can begin this important process.

  • Government negligence: Poor design of a roadway, such as too sharp a curve, can cause a traffic accident. In addition, maintenance of the roadway can come into play as a cause. Potholes, bad lighting, debris, fissures, or upheavals in the pavement as well as missing or misplaced signage can all cause a collision involving only a single vehicle. When it has been determined that the government agency in charge of design and maintenance is responsible for an accident injury, they can be held financially liable. Seeking the help of an attorney when filing a government claim can ensure that it will be submitted before the statute of limitations runs out.
  • Medical condition: When a driver has sleep apnea or takes medication that makes them sleepy, it can lead to a single-vehicle traffic accident. If the individual was not warned that driving would be hazardous for them or they were given the wrong medication or dosage, a medical claim against the physician, pharmacist or others may be possible.
  • Defective auto parts: Tire blowouts, brake or steering failure, and other problems can end up causing the driver to be unable to handle their vehicle. Some accidents may be caused by a negligent mechanic, who failed to perform necessary repairs. Others may be due to a defect in the auto part. When a defect is found that led to a motor vehicle accident injury or fatality, the manufacturer can be held responsible for damages by filing an auto product liability lawsuit.

For many years, my legal team and I have helped countless residents of Northern California to obtain compensation when they’ve been injured in an accident. Our investigators gather the evidence needed to support a claim, from interviewing witnesses to the crash to obtaining video footage from nearby surveillance cameras and performing accident reconstruction. The vehicle itself is examined for defects or poor workmanship that caused the crash.
