Fatal Accident on Fruitridge Road Involves Hit-and-Run Driver
A pedestrian fatality was reported in Sacramento on October 27 after a man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. Police are conducting an active search for the fleeing driver. The Sacramento Police Department reported that the collision occurred along Fruitridge Road close to Power Inn Road sometime before 6:18 a.m.
Pedestrian Dies After Arriving at Hospital
The man who was struck reportedly suffered major injuries. Although he was transported by paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department to a nearby hospital, he, unfortunately, didn’t survive. By the time police arrived at the scene, the driver had already fled.
Pedestrian Fatality Accident Being Investigated
Crime scene investigators and detectives with the major collision section of the police department examined the area for evidence and witnesses to the pedestrian fatality crash. The identity of the deceased pedestrian will not be released until family members have been notified by the coroner’s office.
