Richmond Holiday Events

I’m Ed Smith, a Richmond Car Accident Lawyer. The holiday season is upon us with plenty of local fall and winter activities going on. Take a look at the following events happening in and around Richmond for the holidays:

Salute to Veteran’s Day | November 10 @ Craneway Pavilion, Richmond

Celebrate Veteran’s Day with this free and patriotic event in Richmond. Learn about local veteran’s organizations, hear compelling stories about Richmond’s history and wartime efforts, and visit booths and exhibits in the “Veteran’s Expo,” and enjoy a delicious buffet while supporting the veterans who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom.

Second Saturday on the Richmond Greenway | November 11 @ 6th Street and Ohio Avenue, Richmond

Join The Watershed Project for their monthly volunteer community workday on November 11 and help maintain the natural beauty of the Richmond Greenway. Enjoy the park’s pedestrian and bicycle paths, and dig in to the lush greenery while learning about native plants and useful gardening tips. All ages are welcome!

Bay Area Kinderstube Laternenfest 2017 | November 11 @ Bay Area Kinder Stube, Albany

German children around the world come together on November 11th with homemade lanterns to celebrate Saint Martin’s Day. Legend has it that St. Martin gave away his cloak and lantern to help a beggar in a snow storm, saving the man’s life and setting an example for charitable souls. Join the Bay Area Kinderstube in Albany for seasonal treats like mulled wine, beer, hot chocolate, grilled sausages, German sweet bread, and soft pretzels! Festivities will include singing and caroling, feasting, and of course many lanterns.

What did You do in the War, Daddy? (1966) | November 16 @ SS Red Oak Victory, Richmond

Visit the SS Red Oak Victory, a beautifully restored World War Two cargo ship, for a showing of What did You do in the War, Daddy? The free event is being hosted by Richmond Museum Association and the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park. The Victory Class vessel is perhaps the most appropriate venue to view a vintage WWII film!

Gingerbread House Decorating! | December 2 @ Guaymas Restaurant, Tiburon

This holiday tradition is sure to be a real crowd pleaser! Bring the kids and let their imaginations run wild with the provided gingerbread houses, decorations, and trimmings. Let your little architects shine in this sweet and sugary event.
