Two-Vehicle Accident Investigation

An injury lawyer will investigate the claim to determine whether evidence in the Oroville two-vehicle accident is available to support it by proving the other driver was negligent. An example would be reconstructing an accident and checking surveillance cameras for video footage. Additionally, the lawyer will examine police reports, witness statements, and other evidence to determine liability and establish compensation. A lawyer will also negotiate an appropriate settlement amount with the insurance company using all available resources.

Exercising your right to recover compensation following an Oroville two-vehicle accident is one of the most important things for drivers to do as soon as possible. A lawyer experienced in handling car accidents involving two vehicles can help you recover fair compensation if you are injured, or your family suffers losses.

Recovering Compensation Following an Injury Accident

When someone suffers injuries in an accident caused by a negligent driver, they may be able to recover the following compensation with the help of an injury lawyer:

  • Medical costs that arise as a result of an accident can be recovered. These costs include hospitalization, physician’s bills, ambulance, surgeries, tests, and rehabilitative care. The continued medical bills are calculated and included if the trauma is ongoing at settlement.
  • Wages that are lost due to the inability to work are recoverable. Some people take their vacation time and include unpaid sick leave, which is recoverable. The salary difference is recoverable if the injury causes the individual to take a less-paying job. If permanent disability occurs due to accident injuries, the wages can be recouped until the person has reached retirement age.
  • Pain and suffering includes the physical trauma the injured person experienced. However, it also includes compensation for emotional trauma such as nightmares, anxiety, depression, and others.
