Three Vehicles Involved in Oakland Rollover Crash at 98th Avenue Off-Ramp

An Oakland rollover crash under the 98th Avenue off-ramp of southbound I-880 involved multiple vehicles on June 23 and resulted in injuries. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Toyota sedan, a Honda Civic, and a van were part of the collision, which occurred around 5:15 p.m. The crash blocked four to five lanes of the roadway.

The crash resulted in one vehicle overturning and landing in the center divide, with the driver reportedly conscious as bystanders attempted to break the windshield. Another vehicle was left facing the wrong direction, while the Honda Civic sustained major rear-end damage. Emergency responders from the Oakland Fire Department were on-site to assess the situation and provide assistance.

One Patient Transported to Hospital Following Oakland Rollover Crash

One individual was transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for medical treatment. Traffic delays persisted as CHP began its investigation into the cause of the crash.
