Injury Reported in North Auburn Multiple-Vehicle Collision on Bell Road

A North Auburn multiple-vehicle collision on April 5 injured at least one person. The collision occurred along Bell Road close to Quartz Drive, causing a traffic slowdown. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the accident scene and reported the injury. The crash blocked the westbound Lanes of Bell Road.  A CHP traffic crash investigation will determine the fault in the collision and how it happened.

Injury Compensation and Liability in an Auburn Multiple-Vehicle Collision

When a North Auburn multiple-vehicle accident happens, more than one driver may have been negligent. This is important because an injured person may seek compensation from those who were. An injury lawyer’s job is to investigate an accident to determine all sources of liability and collect the evidence to support a client’s claim. They are experienced in using investigation techniques to gather that evidence.

Once the evidence in the Auburn multiple-vehicle collision has been gathered, our firm’s injury lawyers use it to build a strong compensation claim, which they negotiate with the at-fault driver’s insurance company. Almost all claims are settled this way. However, if the negotiations stall or the company refuses to pay, our injury lawyers can also take the case to court to obtain a fair settlement.

Injuries and Compensation in a Personal Injury Claim

There are several forms of compensation available to those injured in an Auburn multiple-vehicle collision caused by a negligent driver, which can help cover various damages that have been sustained:

  • Medical: A person injured in an Auburn accident can recover the costs of hospitalization, surgery, medication, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care. At the time of settlement, if the injury has not been resolved and is expected to continue into the future, the lawyer can calculate it into the compensation.
  • Wages: When injured parties miss work due to hospitalization or healing, they can recover the lost income.
  • Long-term loss of earning capacity: Compensation for the difference between what the injured party earned and what they could earn after the injury. If the injured party becomes permanently disabled, their wages are recoverable in a lump sum until their retirement age. Wages also include the value of their insurance and pension benefits, tips, bonuses or other monies they would have received.
  • Pain and suffering: An individual who experiences pain and suffering may seek compensation for their trauma.
  • Emotional trauma: A form of pain and suffering compensation, emotional distress relates to the psychological effects of an accident, such as anxiety or depression.
  • Compensation for loss of consortium: A spouse can recover compensation for their loss of support and companionship.
