Napa Pickup Truck Crash Injures One
On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, a Napa pickup truck crash injured one individual. Officers of the Napa Police Department (NPD) indicated that this crash involved only a single vehicle and left the driver with severe injuries requiring hospital treatment. Updates on the man’s medical condition are not yet available. Additionally, this accident is being investigated by NPD in order to determine what causal factors may have been involved.
Crash Details
The accident took place just after 1:00 a.m. A pickup truck of unreported make and model had been traveling on Buhman Avenue approaching Crestview Way. When the truck reached the intersection, the driver apparently lost control. The truck veered onto the sidewalk and struck a tree as well as a stone mailbox outside a local home. Accident reports indicated that the vehicle received major front-end damage as a result of the multiple impacts.
NPD dispatched a response team to the accident site immediately. When emergency officials found the wreck, they determined that the driver was severely injured. He was placed on a ground ambulance and transported to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
Investigation
As police continue to look into what may have caused this crash to happen, officers have stated that they do not think alcohol or drugs played a role.
