Multiple-Vehicle Crash at Intersection of Cone Grove Road Causes Major Injury

A multiple-vehicle crash near Red Bluff on June 24 caused the hospitalization of one woman with major injuries. The accident happened along State Route 99 at Cone Grove Road at about 3:18 p.m. The collision involved a Hyundai sedan, Toyota, and a Ford F-350 pickup. The Toyota was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as sustaining major damage.

Determination of the Cause of the Multiple-Vehicle Crash Underway

One injured person was expected to be hospitalized for several days with a major injury. The roadway reopened around 4:30 p.m. A determination of the cause of the multiple-vehicle crash is underway by CHP traffic accident investigators.

Determining Liability in an Accident Involving Multiple Vehicles

A lawyer considers several factors before making a determination on fault in a multiple-vehicle crash. First, they analyze the facts of the case and determine which driver/drivers were negligent or reckless while operating their vehicle. This could include failing to follow traffic laws such as speeding or running a red light, driving while intoxicated or ignoring posted signs and signals. The lawyer will also consider any evidence that supports the claim of negligence or recklessness.

Preparing a Claim for an Injury Accident

Once the lawyer has determined that one of the drivers was at fault, they will proceed with filing a claim on behalf of their client. This involves gathering evidence to prove that their client suffered injuries or damages due to the other driver’s negligence. Examples of this evidence can include medical records and bills, witness statements, photos from the scene, police reports, videos from traffic surveillance cameras, and any other documentation that can be used to support the client’s claim.

Negotiating a Settlement or Going to Court

If the insurance company does not respond favorably, or if a settlement cannot be reached, the lawyer may choose to take their client’s case to court and present it before a judge or jury. However, the evidence gathered to deal with the insurance company can also be used in civil court. A lawyer’s goal is to ensure that their client receives the compensation they deserve for any injuries or damages sustained due to another driver’s negligence.

Compensation That Can Be Recovered in a Personal Injury Accident

When a person is injured in a two-vehicle accident, they may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, property damages, and other losses. Depending on the severity of the injuries sustained, the amount of money awarded in such cases can vary significantly. In addition to pursuing monetary compensation from insurance companies or through court proceedings, victims may also be able to recover compensation from the at-fault driver through a personal injury lawsuit.
